CambridgeSpace has Landed!

admin/ February 12, 2018/ Business, Community

An heroic effort by CambridgeSpace members over an extended weekend has enabled all the equipment, office furniture – and sense of community – being relocated to a new home.

Hundred Houses have been greatly accommodating hosts since we opened in October 2016, but due to their own expansion, they needed their space back. CambridgeSpace membership has also grown and so it was time to find a new home with room to expand.

We are very pleased to say that you can now find Cambridge’s only not-for-profit community of co-workers at Cambridge University Rugby Union Football Club

Numerous layouts for desk and workspace were tried out in situ, to come up with the best layout and a fresh lick of paint all round has certainly brightened up the office space.

Alongside the dedicated co-working office space our members have access to work in a much larger area of the Clubhouse. A further benefit is that the new venue comes with a bar! When University matches are being played in the evenings, our members can linger after the CambridgeSpace office closes for a refreshing drink – something we think other co-working spaces in Cambridge don’t offer!

CambridgeSpace reopenened on 6th Feb with a fun Cake o’Clock session where members brought along homemade cakes and buns (with others looking suspiciously like Tesco Finest range!).

Furthermore, Urban Shed, cafe and sandwich bar, will be at CURUFC with their mobile food van (‘shedbulance’) at lunchtimes on 13 and 14th February and then three days a week from March, offering toasted bloomers, fajita chicken, BBQ aubergine, and much more. So, we seem to have co-working, food, and drink all covered!

Why not come along and see us at our new space and try working with a great bunch of Cambridge co-workers? There is no charge for your first day.

Just drop in anytime between 9-5.30 Monday-Friday or contact us to book a free trial day.
